Financial Policy

Our Financial and Office Policies

It is our goal to provide you with the finest care available at a cost that is well below standard office fees. Dr. Lintala does not take a salary, and we make every effort to keep down the cost of your visits and supplements. Your understanding of our financial policy is essential. This information is also available under “Downloads”.

New Patient Consultations are up to two hours long, cost $175 and must be paid in full at the time you make the appointment.

Follow-up appointments are up to one hour long, cost $85 and must be paid in full at the time the appointment is made.

Due to our low fees, it really does matter if you forget to call and cancel your appointment.  We structure our prices to just cover our expenses, and we cannot afford to absorb the cost of missed appointments.  If you cancel with at least 72 hours notice, we will either refund the office visit fee to you, or put it towards the newly rescheduled time.  Financial help for reduced services is available through the Autism Angel Fund, funded by generous donors.  Ask our Office Manager for details and an application.

Returned Checks

A $5 service charge will be applied to your account for any returned check.  If a check has been returned, we will only accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Failure to Cancel Appointments/No Shows

At least 72 hours notice is required for cancellations and to reschedule appointments.
Appointment fees are nonrefundable unless 72 hour notice is given.  For Tuesday morning appointments, this means that we must receive notice by the corresponding time on the previous Thursday.  We understand that from time to time sudden illnesses and unforeseen events occur.  The Autism Angel Fund may not be used to pay for appointments in advance, but may be used once you show up for your appointment.

Paperwork and Lab Results

Please make sure we receive the paperwork for your initial consultation at least 14 business days prior to the day of your appointment.  If you arrive for your new patient consultation without the paperwork, we may not be able to complete the entire visit by the end of your scheduled appointment. In that case, the consultation may have to be rescheduled.
